Top Three || Nail Polishes.

| On

I alternate between a sense of pride and shame over how many nail varnishes I own. I only really accept that a hundred plus bottles of nail varnish are too many when I was stand in Superdrug unable to differentiate what ones I already own.

However, when it boils down to it, I have three nail varnishes that I keep coming back to.
On those days when I am overwhelmed with choice I either come back to two  Barry M Gelly polishes in  Pomegrante  & Lilac or Gel Pro by Asda in Black.

There are several reasons as to why they are my favourite three nail varnishes. Price, ease of application, and how long they last all influence my choice, along with the colour of course!

(Left to Right:  Barry M Lilac  Asda Gel Pro: Black  Barry M Pomegranate  ).

In the whole scheme of nail varnish expense, they come in at a snip at £3.99 each for the Barry M nail varnishes, and £3 for the asda Gel Pro, so they hardly break the bank. They're so much cheaper than some other brands (Essie, i'm pointing at you!). I prefer the finishes of these three as they give you a nice glossy high shine finish, and they also last a long time on my nails. Being a nail biter, I need a nail varnish that doesn't instantly chip when I bite them!

It is good to have a wide choice, but there comes a point when all I want is a nail varnish I can just put on, wear to work for the week and know it will go with what i'm wearing. They also do a good job of not chipping throughout the week too. Being so busy the thought of having to repaint mid-week, well, ain't nobody got no time for that.

Two coats and no top coat (yes i'm lazy, they're so shiney anyway!) and i'm good to go, with minimal chipping for about five days.

As much as I love these three shades, i'm always on the hunt for more everyday shades, might need to check myself into nail varnish rehab.
