Graduation Outfit Look.

My search for a graduation outfit wasn't an easy one and i'm so indecisive I might just change my mind, but this is the idea I keep coming back to.

The dress was a random find whilst food shopping with my mum in Asda, and was a snip compared to the price of some Highstreet dresses at £18! The quality was poor though, a first for Asda products I have to admit, I just wasn't expecting a hole in my dress before i'd even worn it. They were pretty bad at helping solve the situation so i'm going to get a sewing wizz to fix it for me so I look all swish.

I opted for this dress over the others as it's pretty simple. It looks smart yet remains comfortable and weather suitable. My graduation will be the middle of July, so likely to be hot and the ceremony is not until 3pm, so spending the day in something really uncomfortable wouldn't feel good. The dress has a skater skirt-like bottom and is a slightly thick and a fabric, a perk as it's less likely to blow up. The addition of a cardigan also means that if it is way too hot on the day, I can take it off. The gown will have long sleeves after all. I don't want to be stuck dying under layers of long sleeves and cardigans if it's boiling.

In the shoes department I decided against wearing heals at all costs. I'm clumsy as it is, and the last thing I want one of the last times I see half the people on my course is falling flat on my face getting my degree. So I opted for some simple black flats. Not the sexy black wedges I have in mind, but i'd rather not break my ankle.

Number 4 and 5 are for sentimental reasons, and every girl needs to accessorize!
Number 4 is my Pandora bracelet, full of lots of meaningful charms and I always wear it for good luck, the locket (5) i'm wearing but looks very similar to this but not actually this. The locket which i'll be wearing is that of my late-grandmothers, and she had a photo of both her grandparents on their weddings days, a tradition which I followed, so wearing it will make me feel a piece of them is with me on the day.

Finally i'm going to wear Essie Hide and Go Chic (6) on my nails. My university colours are blue and orange, and it's a pretty good match for the blue in the gown.

I'm so excited for graduation to happen now I know my grade, it's slowly creeping up, just a few more weeks to go now! I'll be sure to post photos on the day!
